LAN Teaming, also known as load balancing and failover (LBFO), allows multiple network adapters on a computer to be placed into a team for the following purposes:
  • Bandwidth aggregation
  • Traffic failover to prevent connectivity loss in the event of a network component failure

1. Install OS and LAN drivers .
2. After entering the OS, go to Device Manager and right click on Network adaptors to configure Network Connection Properties.

3. Under the Teaming tab, Select “Team with other adapters” and press New Team.

4. Specify the name for the team.

5. Select the adapters to include in this team.

6. Select a team mode. Here Adaptive Load Balancing is chosen.

7. Finally, the wizard has the settings needed to create the team, and selected network adapters will be shown as a team in the device manager.

If other LAN vendor (ex: Realtek) also has teaming feature, may I also follow the same setup procedure to active teaming feature?

For REALTEK solution, you have to download the "Realtek Ethernet Diagnostic Utility" and install it step by step. Then click "Teaming" in the middle of the Realtek Ethernet Diagnostic Utility window and click the "Create Team" button.
